Eric Deaver was born in Eugene, Oregon but spent most of his adolescent years growing up in beautiful Bend, Oregon.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Music from the University of Oregon, Eric spent his earliest years travelling and singing as a tenor with various Symphony Orchestras and Opera Companies throughout the US, where he performed such roles as: Don Jose in Carmen; Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly; Cavaradossi in Tosca; Alfred in Die Fledermaus; Faust (title Role); Rodolfo in La Bohème; The Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto; Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni; Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas; Siegmund in Die Walküre; and The Governor, Vanderdendur and Ragotzky in Candide, as well as various Oratorio and concert appearances.  In 2001, he was granted the Southern Arizona Opera Guild Achievement Grant and subsequently a Wicks Scholar Grant in 2004 for his work with the Opera in the Ozarks apprenticeship program.

While learning his craft, Deaver had the privilege to study extensively with both Mezzo-soprano Korby Myrick and Vocal Pedagog David Jones. In 2005, Deaver had the unique opportunity to study with reknowned Heldentenor Claude Heater, and is now poised to enter this Dramatic Tenor fach. He is currently adding the roles of Samson and Otello to his repertoire, and is also considering a foray into the demanding Wagner tenor roles. He plans to recommence his singing engagements during the 2010-11 season.

In addition to being the General Director of the Wildwood Arts Academy, Eric joined forces with artist Julie Babikan in 2008 to form the Modern Renaissance Design group, where he servers as lead Web designer and Administrator. He currently lives in Wildwood, Illinois.
